with a very slight gap between drawer face and wall so it doesn't drag. when pulled out this far it comes to a stop but if you give it a little tug...
I put a ball catch, which is a spring loaded ball bearing, in the bottom of the case. A notch in the back of the drawer lets it pass smoothly over the ball catch, while a carefully placed double sided ramp passes over the ball catch only with some force. Worked pretty well.
